Clear skies this evening will give way to increasing clouds late tonight. It will be another frosty night with lows in the upper 20s. Friday morning and afternoon will be dry, mostly cloudy and breezy with highs in the upper 40s and low 50s.
Widespread rain is set to sweep across North Alabama Friday evening through about 9 a.m. Saturday. Rain totals will be close to a half inch for most. Gusts up to 30 mph will be possible as the rain falls Friday night.
Light rain showers will be possible Saturday night into early Sunday mainly along the Alabama/Tennessee state line. The rest of the weekend will be quiet with highs in the low 50s and lows near 40.
Another big storm system will bring impactful weather to North Alabama late Monday into Tuesday next week. Widespread rain, a few non-severe storms and wind gusts up to 45 mph can be expected. Rain totals with this round will be around 1-2". A brief transition to a rain/snow mix will be possible Tuesday evening.
